Computer Science & Engineering alumnus awarded tenure at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte

Richard Souvenir, DSc 2006, was awarded tenure in the Department of Computer Science in the College of Computing and Informatics at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Professor Souvenir joined UNC Charlotte in 2006 and is a member of the Future Computing Lab, The Charlotte Visualization Center, and The Center for Biomedical Engineering and Science.
 
Professor Souvenir’s research focuses on the applications of machine learning to problems in computer vision, specifically for biomedical and human motion analysis. This work has been supported by the National Science Foundation and the Charlotte Research Institute.
 
Richard lives in Charlotte with his wife, Jamie Payton, DSc 2006, and son Alex.
